Fedfish Cup Pro

** After the first day, Todd and I were in 6th place and looking to do what ever it would take to advance in the standings. Saturday morning we made the long run from Lake Charles to Port Arthur TX, to fish our home water. The boat ride was good, no rough water until we got to our #1 spot, the wind was blowing hard out of the northeast and had our main spot blown out. Off to the #2 spot, hoping it would pay off, and pay off it did. We fished for 15 minutes and had our first fish of the day, and what a fish! After fishing several other spots and catching over sized fish, we went back to the #2 hole and payday again, this fish weighing more than the first one.
The ride back to Lake Charles was much sweeter than the morning ride due to the 13 plus pounds in our live well. While waiting to weigh-in, we were noticing some good fish that the other anglers had produced, but we were fortunate to have the fish that we had. Our weight for day two (13.66lbs) was much better than day one thus advancing use from sixth place to third.
The tournament was very challenging and rewarding as well. Todd and I had a great time competing against the best redfish anglers that have ever stepped foot on a boat! Coo do’s to Pat Malone with HT3 for hosting a great tournament. What can you say about the HT weigh-in set up other than PROFESSIONAL!
